Our team prototyped a mobile application for a virtual financial consultant. Despite easy access to information, financial consulting can be overwhelming, expensive, and tedious. BILL aims to minimize these problems and provide a satisfactory, free service to low-income workers. I handled the design work, including the mockups, logos, and poster report.
Mockups
World Mode: Rather than keeping a list of purchased items, we realized an interactive environment to store items would provide a more engaging and unique experience to the user.
Input Mode: This section allows users to interact with their real-world purchases and store them in the app.
Logos
Intitial design: Since we provide a virtual financial consultant, we wanted the icon to represent a professional yet welcoming design.
Final design: A few variations include the more laid-back hairstyle, the "blue-collar" worker, and the world-like colors in the background.

Takeaways
- Branching out: We delegated work according to each person's strong suits. I handled most of the design, while others handled the programming-heavy side. Nevertheless, I would have liked to branch out more and work on more backend.
- Public speaking: We only had 5 minutes to present our concept to the audience. Thus, we have a limited amount of time to capture the audience's attention and engage them in our project. There were times when we digressed, but through strong, coherent speaking, I believe we made the most of our time.
